MAKEUP SPOTLIGHT: Pixiwoo!

Makeup Spotlight Time!

For this section, I usually like to feature a specific look or product that I like, it is almost like a "favorites" post.  For this makeup spotlight, I wanted to feature two makeup artists that inspired me to want to do makeup!  Their names are Sam and Nic, and they are best known for their work on the Pixiwoo YouTube Channel.

Their channel features a wide variety of makeup based content, this ranges from product reviews to tutorials on how to create a look similar to a celebrity or personality.  These two also professionally do makeup, and one can see videos of them putting their skills to work on other models!

Sam (the one on the left in the preview) has also released her own brush line known as Real Techniques.  These brush kits feature many different types of brushes, these range from foundation brushes to shadow and lip brushes!

I highly recommend that you check out the Pixiwoo channel on YouTube!  They will teach you a lot about makeup, including how to apply the makeup properly as well as what products are good for certain types of skin and people!

REVIEW: Victoria's Secret "Give Me Glam" Makeup Kit!

Review Time!

The Victoria's Secret "Give Me Glam" makeup kit is a kit that is packed with many different types of makeup.  Included are 30 eye shadow colors, ten lip glosses, three bronzors and highlighters, four blushes, a small Victoria's Secret eye liner pencil, eyebrow pencil, mascara, and four brushes to apply your makeup with.  It also includes a small mirror when you open up the palette.  The kit features many signature products from the Victoria's Secret makeup collection, so many of the items in the palette can be bought standalone.

The reason I purchased this kit was because it featured many different products and it was a part of the stores Semi-Annual sale, the kit was 75 percent off of the regular price so I could not help myself but to make the purchase!

Two things that I love from this kit are the eye shadows and the lip glosses.  Each eye shadow applies really smooth and has a smoky feel to it.  Each color blends really nice to create a type of smoky eye effect!  The eye shadows also last for several hours.  The lip glosses are plus here too!  I'm wearing the red one at the bottom left corner of the full palette, and as you can see it gives a red, glossy finish to the lips.  I love to wear this over some red lipstick sometimes to give a shiny, dramatic finish!

The only things that I do not like about the kit are the applicators.  If you are tight on money, and cannot afford better brushes, then I definitely recommend using the ones that are provided.  Just be weary that the quality of these brushes are not that great and sometimes it feels like you have to keep apply product to get anywhere.  Also, the lip brushes are very fragile and sometimes feel hard to the touch, they certainly aren't the best applicators in the world!

So considering that there are way more pro's than con's, I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone.  The normal kit was $35 dollars but I got mine for $8 being on sale.  The only problem is that since this particular kit went Semi-Annual, that means it is discontinued and you will have to look online or in a Victoria's Secret outlet store to find it.  However, they make a similar kit called "Give Me Bombshell" that has a few different colors in it and still contains many of the same products!

Welcome To Walk, Walk, Makeup Baby!

Hi Readers!

Welcome to Walk, Walk, Makeup Baby!  As you can certainly tell, this blog is dedicated to all things makeup!  This blog will feature reviews, tutorials, and makeup spotlights!  If you see anything you like, please feel free to comment and ask any questions!

My name is Travis and I've been pursuing the art of makeup now for a few years.  I am by no means a professional, even though I some day aspire to be!  I enjoy both wearing and demonstrating makeup as a hobby!  I will post photos and videos of makeup looks that I love, as well as looks that I try on myself, hopefully to inspire and maybe teach you new things about the wonderful world of makeup!

ALSO!  I do take requests!  If there is a look or a product that you have seen and want me to review it or make a tutorial for it, please leave a comment talking about it and I will do my best to take a look at it!

Thank you for your time and I hope that you enjoy my blog!
